“A long time ago in the galaxy far far away, George Lucas created Star Wars. This April the world is going to celebrate its 40th anniversary.”
The main celebration is going to take place in Orlando, USA. From Thursday, 13th to Sunday, 16th of April, the Exhibition Hall is going to offer a range of events. Cosplay competitions, exhibitions, interactive show floor, celebrity guests, panels, autograph sessions and even more activities have been created to deliver a memorable experience for the guests.
While Orlando is preparing for the event, London already offers Star Wars fans to start celebrating. A massive exhibition dedicated to the films is taking place in the O2 venue in Greenwich. Star Wars Identities is going to last until September 2017, allowing visitors to create their own star wars identity. The exhibition uses more than 200 props from the archive of Lucas Museum of narrative art and combines them with an interactive experience. Visitors will be able to explore what makes the characters of Star Wars who they are and to answer the main question of the exhibition: What forces shape you? Tickets start from £10.
